Many colleges use the Common Application which streamlines the process, but some schools also require individual supplements. Colleges might use their own applications instead of the Common Application. Information about a college’s application is available on its website. Regardless of the format, all applications require some or all of the following: general biographical information, list of extracurricular activities, essays, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and test scores.
The key word here is organization! It’s a matter of keeping track of requirements and deadlines.
